4th of July Weekend

Another eventful weekend! Yes it even gets better....

My sister and Mo left for the weekend to go to Utah and visit a friend of theirs who was recently married, (funny fact: she was married on my birthday). Since i had the whole apartment I tried to see if Alyssa wanted to come over. Instead she invited me to Thorntons' Movie/swim party they were holding after a singles ward activity. I know the Thorntons since I could remember. Figuring there would be more people I would know, I definitely went. 

Getting off at the Exit for Meridian, I saw someone passing me in a blue (purple) truck, waving. It dawned on me that i recognized it. It was Alex, Alyssa's boyfriend. I laughed. Passed him up to get over to turn onto Hubbard Road to Alyssa's house. I had planned on going to the singles ward activity but I felt a little weird going and not knowing who was going to be there. Just ended up going to Alyssa's house. Lucked out with a fabulous dinner her parents made since I hadn't had anything yet that evening, forgot. After dinner we kinda hung around, Alyssa went to change and we waiting on her. Chad and Kyle were suppose to go but they chickened out because "they didn't want to go." Whatever, they missed out!

We got there, to the singles ward activity as it was ending (whoops). All we saw was 4 square ( a game I remember playing in grade school) and shaving cream all over the ground? Never quite figured out why but o well. Saw people I knew again since childhood (I love Kuna and the fact its small, you practically know everyone). We all headed over to the Thorntons and sat around til we finally decided to set up the volleyball net. Had 2 teams and we started. It was 4 against 5 but well.. Brittany Phillips (became the entertainment of the event) didn't really place. Too busy ducking from the ball instead of hitting it. It was a riot. My sides hurt from laughing so hard. 

Eventually we got bored of that and ( couldnt remember exactly who) wanted to try this rubber band thing with me. So basically how it works out.. is you have this GIGANTIC elastic band that is connected at the ends so its like a big rubber band. and 4 people across from each other walk backwards to where it stretches. then the 2 people across from each other will run to the other persons RIGHT and then the other 2 would do it and so on but you gotta do it fast! Interesting, lemme tell ya! It was super fun! I thought I was going to hit someone a few times, ended up falling on my back, I was laughing so hard. I hope I explained it well enough, if we ever do it again, I'll take a video and post it.

After that i just stood around talking with Jeneen, shes one of the Canadians I met Father's Day weekend. I was staring off into space and just so happened there was a guy kinda close to where i was staring (some of the boys were throwing around a football) and this guy, Nathan, was joking making fun of me saying I was staring at his friend because "I thought he was cute." Haha. So I poked my fun back at him. He kept making fun of Jeneen cause she was Canadian and how he doesn't like them and such, so we ganged up and made fun of him. I so love doing that. 

Somehow Nathan was told or figured out Jeneen left the keys to her car IN THE CAR! Him and Matt (a friend of his) took off with the car and went for a joy ride. She called them while Alyssa and Alex left, they were tired, so I stayed behind to help Jeneen get her car back. They came back and drove past trying to be funny, silly men. We walked out into the middle of the road so if they came back they would have to turn into their drive way and couldn't get away. Ended up getting in the car only to go into the hills and did some off-roading.. I don't remember what kind of car it was but I was surprised it handled all the crap we did. I felt like i was at a amusement park on some roller coaster, maybe not that extreme but hey I was slightly freaked but not scared. We went down some steep hills. Nathan had done this before so I trusted him... but honestly wasn't 100% sure since I JUST met him. We did this til it was completely dark. We went back to the thorntons, not ever 5 minutes away and they were in the middle/near the end of the movie. Jeneen had to go because she had work at 5 am in the morning. She took me back to my car and I went home. Couldn't stop thinking about all the fun I had that evening. 

Saturday, July 2nd, 2011

 I woke up with an awesome headache, apparently I wasn't getting much sleep because I was busy having fun. I'll never regret it. Got up did laundry, cleaned, the normal boring stuff. Once it was all done. I got on and found Nathan on facebook, (who doesn't have one??)  and we got to talking. Teasing each other, been doing that since last night. He invited me to take a ride on his motorcycle. I've never been on one, if I had, it was when i was really little and was up and down a street. Nathan took me all over the place, Kuna, then to Eagle, and then out a little past Horseshoe bend. Since I suck at deciding where to go.... I made him decided and he took me to the Payette River, on some bank, soo wanted to jump in but we didn't plan on being up there so we didn't bring anything to go swimming in. all we did was take off our shoes and rolled up our pants legs and waded in. Surprisingly.. it was WARM! it felt soo good. We sat up there for a while and chatted, skipped rocks.. mine just like to go towards the other people (no it was not intentional!). Nathan about threw me in, or I should say DROPPED since he held me like 1-2 inches above the water. What a punk! I had to be back to go somewhere else, so he took me back home. We got back early so we hung out even more and talked about ourselves and again were teasing each other. (Surprised? I'm not.) Its funny though, I met him the night before and we clicked so well, I love friendships like this. Same thing with Jeneen. Its the best! He left when I did. I had gone that night to meet up with another old friend from Kuna, Shane (again gotta love Kuna, and the fact its small). Talked to him for about an hour or so til he had to go to work. I enjoyed catching up with him and meeting his lovely wife!! Sarah, his wife, is just perfect for him. Couldn't be more happy for them both.

Father's Day Weekend

Alright well I'm a little behind on my update so what I'll do is post the dates on which it happened.

June 18th, 2011

I finally got ahold of one of my best friends from highschool, Alyssa Robinson, and I wanted to see about going to a movie but instead, she invited me to a friend's get together. Sure beats doing nothing and hey, why not meet new people? I agreed to meet her at her place and we would go.

I got there a bit early to her place because I didn't know where this person lived so I could follow her. Met her new boyfriend, Alex is is a very nice person. since we were taking her brother, Chad and Kyle, who are also friends of mine, we ended up carpooling.

We got there and saw a few familiar faces but most were new to me. Found out some were actually Canadian, which was pretty cool to find out since I do have a lot of Canadian friends. We Started out playing this Wii game, its like a dancing game but you have to copy the moves from the dancers, and ended up being Michael Jackson songs so even better. Made fools of ourselves but we all had a blast, expect a few party poopers.... cough cough..

Since some of us didn't particularly like the Michael Jackson dancing, we did so Wii sports so everyone would join in. It was fun trying to figure out how to work the remote to make it do what you needed.  We got bored with that quick so we played another game. But this time it didn't involve the wii...

The game we played I honestly cant remember the name of it but it was something like Mafia. The rules go along like this...

One person was the mafia. one was the detective, one was an angel, the rest were civilians.

Everyone would close their eyes (night time is what we called it) and the narrator( one person who wasnt playing) would tell the mafia to open their eyes, pick someone to kill, then close their eyes. Next was the angel, what they would do is pick the person who they THINK is going to die and if they pick the right person they are saved. then they closed their eyes. Then the detective tries to figure out who is the mafia, cant say who they are if they are right, then they go back to sleep. everyone "wakes up" and the person chosen by the mafia dies, unless the angel picked the correct person the life, if not, then they cant say anything they are dead. everyone discusses and blames who they think is the mafia. people defend themselves but no one knows who the other is. that is the trick. the detective cant say who they are or they will die next and usually the game is over, not always though. The detective if they are right abotu the person will convince people who they are, at the end they pick one person that everyone agrees on who is the mafia, if they are wrong then the person still dies. then the person reveals who they are. if they are wrong, then its repeated till either they figure it out or everyones dead.

It was a fun evening and I enjoyed myself. I had to leave because it was midnight and i ha to get up early the next morning to go fishing for fathers day. Now who could pass that up?

June 19th, 2011 Father's Day

Woke up and threw on some clothes to go fishing with my sister, and our roommate, Morgan, with her dad. We drove over to her parents, got a few last things together and loaded up. I pretty much slept the whole way up there, well a vast majority of it. Since I did get home around midnight. Had a bit to much fun... though being high on life is the greatest feeling EVER! Haha anywho, we got up there around 10 maybe 9, I honestly dont remember the time, it was still before noon. Unloaded the boat in the water and headed 8-10 miles up the Snake River to go fishing!! When we got to the area we were going to be, we broke out the poles, baited them and casted them behind the boat. I don't remember what it was called but we kinda drove the boat around in circles slowly some reason it makes the fish interested in the bait more. Noticed my pole was taking hits and reeled in our first fish. YAY!!! I'm just good like that. We waited a bit and headed up stream more and tried another spot. Not long after my sister got a fish.  Then Morgan got another a bit later. After that, they kept coming. About lunch time we broke out stuff for lunch and while we were in the process of makign it we got 3 poles going with fish on them IT WAS CRAZY! got up to around 5-6 fish by then. While we waiting we sat around and talked. What was discussed... I can't say. " What happens on the boat stays on the boat."  Caught abuot 4-5 more fish and called it a day since we were getting anymore bites and wanted to get home for dinner. Burger and Fish sticks... mmmmmmmm! We all stopped and got ice cream, then headed home, everyone passed out except for of course, morgans dad since he was driving. We had dinner which was great then pie. I was soo stuffed but it was all soo good! Even though I didn't have the option to spend Father's Day with my dad as much as I would have liked to, I still got to enjoy it with Morgan's dad. It was pretty awesome. Awesome weekend. :)

Why Blogging?

I decided to make a blog to keep my family and friends updated on my life, from every day things, to photography, to my art, events, and anything else! Its a good way to keep in touch as well!

Well to start this off, I recently moved to Boise, Id, figured its about time to get out on my own in this big world and I am moved in and rooming with my sister Kiersten and my other roommate Morgan. We all get along well, which is awesome. So no problems. as of yet. Still job hunting in hopes of finding one a.s.a.p. Also trying to work out more and get more in shape. Kiersten, Mo Mo (Morgan), and I went to the Borah track and ran yesterday. Felt really good after maybe we will do together as roommates more often. Kiersten and i plan on going camping this Friday night. I'm stoked for it, hope nothing cancels it.*Crosses fingers*
